I donated because I believe in nonprofit organizations like MusiCares. Music is one of those art forms that soothes our soul and connects us- across the ages, country, religion, and ethnicity. Caring for those who provide such an important connection is vital for their wellbeing and ours- because without music- the world would be pretty vanilla. One of the reasons I respect and adore Keith Urban (aside from the obvious talent), is his genuine care for others and how he promotes and supports other musicians. He’s had his own challenges and struggles and rather than hide it, he helps others by paying it forward. That’s a lovely human being, and one worth celebrating.
