I had only recently begun listening to Rage Against The Machine and Audioslave but I absolutely fell in love with Tom Morello's guitar work because it doesn't rely on being flashy or intricate, it utilizes bizarre sounds and very unconventional methods of playing if I'm not mistaken as well, which I really enjoy and admire quite a bit.
