The Children’s Village at Lotus Village

Lotus House is a shelter for women, youth and children experiencing homelessness in Miami, FL. Sheltering 1,550+ guests annually, Lotus House is the largest women’s homeless shelter in the country, providing so much more than a meal, a bed and a shower. Services include child and family therapy, parenting classes, resource coordination, access to medical and mental healthcare, educational support like after school tutoring, homework help, GED classes, arts and activities, and so much more.
With the Children’s Village at Lotus Village, Lotus House is creating a neighborhood children’s resource center serving our sheltered children and the Overtown community. Scheduled to open in 2025, the facility will include space for multiple nonprofit organizations providing free services to children and families.
