Ana Valentina Foundation

The Ana Valentina Foundation is a non-profit organization that helps children and families living in extreme poverty. With projects in Bogotá, Colombia's capital city, as well as the Chocó, part of Colombia's Pacific region, the foundation's projects and activities seek to advance environmental and cultural education and appreciation. In Bogotá, the foundation works with more than 150 families in Ciudad Bolivar, across a range of subjects, including languages (English and French) music, dance and academic tutoring. Currently the foundation is working to relocate to a larger space with gardens and green spaces to better accommodate rising demand for its services and programs and to deliver environmental education programs in a more appropriate setting. In addition to its cultural and environmental programs, the foundation does its best to provide breakfasts and healthy snacks for the children.
